ABOUT ME

I’ve been a full-time, licensed clinical therapist and trusted partner for my clients since 2005, having graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a Master's degree in Pastoral Counseling.  I began my career working in the community mental health setting in Westminster, Maryland. Sitting with clients with a wide range of concerns and severity provided me invaluable training and experience that informs my work to this day.  In 2011, I moved to beautiful Wilmington, NC and joined the counseling center of the University of North Carolina Wilmington as a full-time staff clinician and coordinator of their In Harmony mind-body programs.

I have also taught as an adjunct professor in the Honors College of UNCW, teaching

The Art of Mindful Living.

At the start of the pandemic, I began offering teletherapy and found it to be an effective way to provide services to my clients during such a stressful and uncertain time. Today, I focus full-time on my private practice providing teletherapy to clients in multiple states and facilitating workshops related to mindfulness and stress management.

I consider myself to be a lifelong learner and still get excited by the new developments and research in mental health.  I'm constantly educating myself and love passing on any knowledge that I gain to my clients.  After all...knowledge is power!
